West Valley entered their tilt with Yreka on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Miners by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant West Valley was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Ellis Macfarlane and Reese Haas, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Kamea Simmons and her eight assists. Mahayla Guevarra controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

West Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Yreka, they moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

West Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Colusa on the 23rd. As for Yreka, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Red Bluff on the 26th.
