Softball Game Preview: Brown County Hornets vs. Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes

Brown County is 9-1 against Griggsville-Perry since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Hornets will welcome the Tornadoes at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Brown County took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets won by a run and slipped past the Cougars 12-11. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Griggsville-Perry ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out North Greene 4-3.

Brown County's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Griggsville-Perry, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
