Tara and Baker are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. Tara will challenge Baker at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tara is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Tara will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Belaire on Tuesday. Tara put the hurt on Belaire with a sharp 18-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three games by 15 runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Akera Fusiler, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Tylynn Fleming, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Tara always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of 1.000. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-0 to Madison Prep Academy.

Baker's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Tara, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Tara took their victory against Baker in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 20-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tara since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
