Basketball Recap: Carter-Riverside Comes Up Short

Carter-Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by the Western Hills Cougars 78-27. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.

When it comes to explaining why Carter-Riverside lost, don't look at Robert Rodriguez. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points and three steals. That was a full 59.3% of Carter-Riverside's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Angel Salazar also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Carter-Riverside's record now sits at 2-19. As for Western Hills, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-18 record.
