Softball Recap: Mendota Takes a Loss

Mendota lost to Erie-Prophetstown back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans lost 22-5 to the Cardinals. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Perryman was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

Mendota's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Erie-Prophetstown, their record is now 12-10.

Looking ahead, Mendota is taking a road trip to take on Putnam County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Erie-Prophetstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orion at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
