It was a good run, but St. Albans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Poca Dots.

St. Albans' offense was headlined by Aubree O'Connor and Bethany Farry, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ellah Smith and her 13 assists. Finally, Sophia Eary kept St. Albans' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

St. Albans' defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Poca, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 24-2-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Albans and Poca will both be playing Philip Barbour the next time they take the court. The Dots will head out to face the Colts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Red Dragons will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
