Football Recap: Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They lost 28-6 to the South Allegheny Gladiators. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 23-7 to the Gladiators when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for South Allegheny, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 32.5 points thus far.

Leading South Allegheny to victory were Drew Cook and Joey Gamret. Cook picked up 83 receiving yards and two TDs, while Gamret rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown. Gamret got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 52 yards.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-6 win against Ligonier Valley on the 19th. As for South Allegheny, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 56-7 victory against South Park on the 19th.
