With a playoff win on the line, Carlson rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Anderson Titans 11-2. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.
Isabelle Salas and Aubrey Iwasko did most of the damage at the plate: Salas went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Iwasko went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Dunwoody, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Carlson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 14-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
The win snapped Carlson's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-14 record. As for Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-14.
As of now, neither Carlson nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
