Softball Game Preview: South Lamar Stallions vs. Pickens Academy Pirates

South Lamar is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pickens Academy Pirates at 7:00 p.m.

South Lamar is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Berry just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pickens Academy). They never let Aliceville get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

South Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Pickens Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-3-1.
