Baseball Recap: Pueblo West Has No Trouble Against Rampart

The Pueblo West Cyclones made easy work of the Rampart Rams on Tuesday and carried off an 11-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cyclones.

Blake Mares was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Pueblo West: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Trace Humphrey, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Pueblo West's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Rampart, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Pueblo West will have a chance to go back-to-back against Rampart: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
