North is a perfect 9-0 against South Mountain since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: North has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while South Mountain will arrive with four straight wins.

On Monday, North was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 71-65 to Fairfax.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Mountain). They put the hurt on Tolleson with a sharp 68-48 victory on Tuesday. While the Jaguars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for South Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

North beat South Mountain 71-58 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
