Central Noble's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Thursday. They didn't even let the Homestead Spartans on the board, marking the Cougars' second-straight 2-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2021.

Central Noble pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Homestead, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-6 record.

When Central Noble and Homestead next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Cougars will try to stop Churubusco's four-game winning streak when they meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Homestead will challenge Bellmont and their five-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
