North Point has gone 10-0 against McDonough recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The North Point Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the McDonough Rams at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North Point is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Leonardtown just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, McDonough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 60-24 defeat at the hands of St. Charles. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while St. Charles are ranked 95th).

McDonough's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for North Point, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-3.

Everything came up roses for North Point against McDonough in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 61-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Point since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
