Baseball Preview: South Pointe Christian Patriots vs. Lee Park Prep Knights         
        
		
            
 After three games on the road, South Pointe Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Lee Park Prep Knights  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. South Pointe Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game  this season.
 Back in March, it was a hard-fought  game, but South Pointe Christian had to settle for  a  7-6 loss against Non Varsity Opponent.
  Tucker Rodgers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Aiden Arant, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, South Pointe Christian  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .543. That's the best  OBP they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Lee Park Prep had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-7  win over the Ravens.
  Cam Stikeleather was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Stikeleather was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last five games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Isaac Watkins, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 4-for-5.  Justus Stikeleather was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 South Pointe Christian's defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lee Park Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Tuesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. South Pointe Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8.2  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lee Park Prep struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 10.9. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 South Pointe Christian skirted past Lee Park Prep  6-4 in their previous matchup  back in March. Will South Pointe Christian repeat their success,  or does  Lee Park Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
