            Softball Recap: Emerson Cavaliers vs. Glen Rock Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Emerson ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They walked away with  a   14-10  win over the Glen Rock Panthers. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for the Cavaliers, who until this  match were averaging four  runs allowed.
 Sophie Nisonoff was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Julia Seretis, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  doubles.

 Emerson  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in five consecutive  games.
Emerson has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glen Rock, their loss  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emerson will head out to  challenge Paramus  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Glen Rock, they will take on Hawthorne at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6  runs per game  this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
