McClatchy came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Christian Brothers Falcons by a score of 27-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Falcons are ranked 40th).

Although Christian Brothers took the loss, they still got scores from Emma Leonard, Gabriella Devlin, and Scarlett Reid.

McClatchy's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Christian Brothers, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

McClatchy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 39-6 victory against Bear Creek on the 11th. As for Christian Brothers, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-12 loss against Vista del Lago on the 10th.
