Baseball Recap: Dearborn Takes a Loss

Dearborn came into this matchup off a tough 12-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Belleville Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The Pioneers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Dearborn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Lansang, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Rami Baydoun was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Dearborn's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Belleville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9-1 record this season.

While Dearborn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
