Blackman had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Annabelle Grissom did her part to make it five on Thursday. Everything went the Blaze's way against the Riverdale Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 win thanks in part to Grissom, who had 11 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

One reason for the win was Blackman's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-7.

Blackman's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Riverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Blackman will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rockvale at 6:00 p.m. As for Riverdale, they are taking a road trip to challenge Central Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
