Volleyball Recap: South Triumphs

While South's win against Ayer Shirley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colonels narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonels.

South's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Ayer Shirley, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

South and Ayer Shirley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Colonels will take on Fitchburg at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (98 vs. 284). Meanwhile, Ayer Shirley (ranked 110th) will meet Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (ranked 267th) at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
