Football Game Preview: Trinity Episcopal Titans vs. St. Christopher's Saints

The Trinity Episcopal Titans will venture away from home to take on the St. Christopher's Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Episcopal knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully St. Christopher's likes a good challenge.

Trinity Episcopal is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Anacostia, who was ranked 19th in their home state at the time (Trinity Episcopal was ranked eighth). The Titans simply couldn't be stopped last Saturday as they easily beat the Indians 41-0. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four matchups by 33 points or more so far this season.

The critical scores for Trinity Episcopal came from Davion Brown, Tyson Tiller, Cole Dameron, Deuce Mason, Carson Parks, and Mason Love.

Meanwhile, St. Christopher's was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 20-14 to Woodberry Forest. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Trinity Episcopal pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for St. Christopher's, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Trinity Episcopal didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against St. Christopher's in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 14-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
