Football Recap: Parkway Falls Short of Ouachita Parish in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Parkway and Ouachita Parish squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Parkway had to settle for second. They took a 28-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kb Williams threw for 144 yards and one TD. Gary Burney Jr was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Christian Jefferson rushed for 26 yards.

Ouachita Parish's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Macario Dade Jr led the charge by rushing for 152 yards and one touchdown. Dade Jr's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 104 rushing yards. Montrell Conner was another key player, rushing for 119 yards and one TD.

Parkway's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2. As for Ouachita Parish, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Parkway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ouachita Parish, they will challenge Neville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
