Softball Recap: Norton Comes Up Short

Norton was the 14-9 winner over Coventry when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Comets on Wednesday, falling 12-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Tatum Harris was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

Norton's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Coventry, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

Coming up, Norton will welcome Holy Name at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Wave have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Coventry, they will head out to challenge Ravenna at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
