Softball Recap: Irmo Takes a Loss

Irmo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to the White Knoll Timberwolves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 14-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Irmo's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for White Knoll, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

Irmo will be playing at home against Chapin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for White Knoll, they will head out to face off against Lexington at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lexington will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
