Meanwhile, Severn School waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They never let the Lakers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

The result came thanks to Caden Blanck's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Severn School's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Andy Blanck, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Severn School's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.5 runs this season. As for Gerstell Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
