As the son of a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, Kumar Rocker of North Oconee (Bogart, Ga.) is not surprisingly, considered a defensive line prospect. However, it's on the baseball diamond that Rocker is viewed as the nation's No. 1 overall prospect.

At 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, Rocker is an imposing presence on the mound. His father Tracy played football at Auburn and was an All-American for the Tigers. Kumar has hit 94 mph on his fastball and his overall athleticism has scouts impressed with his projectability.

Rocker also tops MaxPreps' list of the Top 50 junior baseball players in the nation.

Joining Rocker on the list are Brice Turang of Santiago (Corona, Calif.) at No. 2, Joseph Gray of Hattiesburg (Miss.) at No. 3, Jared Kelenic of West (Waukesha, Wis.) at No. 4 and Nolan Gorman of O'Connor (Phoenix) at No. 5.

Turang was the MaxPreps National Freshman Player of the Year two years ago and earned Sophomore All-American honors last year. He batted .445 last year with eight doubles.

Gray earned Sophomore All-American honors as well after batting .474 with 45 RBIs and seven home runs. Gorman batted .490 with 11 home runs last year, while Kelenic was a member of Team USA 18U that won the gold medal over the summer at the Pan-American games.
