Baseball Recap: Central A & M Takes a Loss

Central A & M was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Knights when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Central A & M's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central A & M will take on Altamont at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Altamont's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Central A & M's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they will challenge Neoga at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
