Baseball Recap: King's Christian's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

King's Christian entered their tilt with Princeton Day on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Knights have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aiden Lawlor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, King's Christian let Levi Smith and Sam Yoo run wild. Smith scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Yoo scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of MJ Pancurak, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

King's Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

King's Christian's record now sits at 4-1. As for Princeton Day, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, King's Christian will challenge Paul VI at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Princeton Day, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Princeton Day Panthers challenge Princeton Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
