Soccer Game Preview: Seabreeze vs. New Smyrna Beach

Seabreeze and New Smyrna Beach are an even 3-3-4 against one another since January of 2017, but likely not for long. The Seabreeze Sandcrabs will take on the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Seabreeze is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Pine Ridge as Seabreeze made off with a 6-1 win.

Seabreeze's offense was hitting Pine Ridge from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Luke Harrell led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Smyrna Beach). Their defense stepped up to hand Mainland an 8-0 shutout on Friday. The result kept the Barracudas happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 4th.

New Smyrna Beach's victory bumped their record up to 14-1-6. As for Seabreeze, their win bumped their record up to 10-11-1.
