Softball Recap: Charleston Takes a Loss

Charleston fell victim to New Madrid County Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 21-0. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Charleston's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for New Madrid County Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Charleston will head out to square off against Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Madrid County Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Clarkton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Reindeer have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.75 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
