Boulder hasn't had much luck against Broomfield recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Boulder made easy work of Northglenn and carried off a 10-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Norsemen: they've now won four in a row.
Connor Bagnall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Chance Gauss and Sam Skubic did most of the damage at the plate: Gauss scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Skubic scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those two runs gave Skubic a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maks Matheson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Boulder was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Broomfield owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Horizon. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Jackson Shepherd was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Talan Hutchings, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI.
Broomfield's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Boulder, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Boulder has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Broomfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
