Basketball Recap: Malina Page and Corrin Sevier Secure Win for Parkview

There's no place like home for Parkview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 51-41 win over the Johns Creek Gladiators on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2020.

Leading Parkview to victory were Corrin Sevier and Malina Page. Sevier went 7-for-13 to rack up 17 points and six steals, while Page posted 12 points and four steals. That's the most points Sevier has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Evans, who had ten points and eight boards.

Parkview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johns Creek only pulled down seven.

When it comes to explaining why Johns Creek lost, don't look at Florida Johnson. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Annabelle Call also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Parkview's record now sits at 3-1. As for Johns Creek, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Parkview has already played their next matchup, a 52-43 defeat against Stephenson on the 25th. As for Johns Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-39 victory against Decatur on the 25th.
