Football Recap: Copper Hills Grizzlies vs. Northridge Knights
Copper Hills took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Northridge Knights. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Grizzlies were the better team in the second half.
Copper Hills got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tija Tate out in front who rushed for 144 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Tate really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Batt, who picked up 119 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Northridge still got an impressive performance from Liam Fresques, who threw for 267 yards and two TDs.
Looking ahead, Copper Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northridge, they are taking a road trip to take on Seguin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
