It's playoff time, and Taylorsville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Sacred Heart Crusaders 16-5 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tartars, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Terry Barnes was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Ty Blakeney was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Taylorsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .550. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Taylorsville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Sacred Heart, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-7.

Taylorsville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Crusaders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
