Baseball Preview: Midview Middies vs. Firelands Falcons

The Midview Middies will challenge the Firelands Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Midview didn't have quite enough to beat Olmsted Falls and fell 3-2. The Middies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noah Munshower was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Firelands was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Firelands now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Midview, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
