Recap: Seneca Indians vs. Carl Junction Bulldogs
The Seneca Indians fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Carl Junction Bulldogs on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 73-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Seneca in their matchups with Carl Junction: they've now lost seven in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carl Junction to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Vediz, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Vediz's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Deacon Endicott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Seneca's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Carl Junction, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Seneca will be home for the holidays to greet Neosho at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Neosho focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Carl Junction, they will take on Van Buren at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Van Buren has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 310 points over their last five contests.
