It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jonesboro had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 68-47 margin over the Jackson Jaguars. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Jonesboro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Turman, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Turman has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cortez Redding, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points along with seven assists and six boards.

Jonesboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. Jackson is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-8.

Jonesboro has already played their next match, an 85-69 win against Cambridge on the 22nd. Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
