Football Game Preview: Forrest City Mustangs vs. Mills University Studies Comets

Forrest City is 0-3 against Mills University Studies since September of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. Forrest City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Mills University Studies likes a good challenge.

Forrest City barely beat Hall the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs breezed past the Warriors to the tune of 50-6 on Friday.

It was another big night for Kevin Young, who rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendrick Patterson, who threw for 76 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Mills University Studies didn't have quite enough to beat Heber Springs on Friday and fell 17-14. The matchup marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Forrest City's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mills University Studies, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
