Murrieta Mesa dropped down to 27-6-2 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Temecula Valley Golden Bears by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

As for Temecula Valley, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 5th.

Hyacinth Peregrino went supernova, getting 16 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (nine).

Murrieta Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Vista Murrieta on the 7th.
