Milby extends road losing streak to five

Recap: Milby Buffs vs. Northside Panthers

While it was all tied up 23-23 at halftime, the Milby Buffs were not quite the Northside Panthers's equal in the second half on Friday. Milby fell to Northside 63-57. Milby's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Milby's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Sanchez, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanchez has scored all season. Kobe Brown was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

keith Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northside, scoring 25 points along with four steals. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryce Brown, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.

Milby's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-16. As for Northside, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Milby will be playing in front of their home fans against Wisdom at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wisdom is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Northside, they will head out on the road to challenge Waltrip at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Waltrip has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 453 points over their last seven games.
