Baseball Recap: Penfield Gets the Win

The Penfield Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Tristan McEnroe looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabe Reyes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Bianchi, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Penfield's record now sits at 2-0. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Penfield has already played their next contest, an 8-1 win against Elmira on the 16th. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, they will head out to take on Bishop Timon-St. Jude at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
