Basketball Recap: Van Takes a Loss

Van has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mabank Panthers. The Vandals were probably out for revenge after losing 43-36 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Van's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Mabank, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lindale the next time they take the court. Mabank will head out to face Lindale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Van will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
