Volleyball Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

Jasper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Danville Warriors.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14.

Kate Eckerle paced Jasper's offense, picking up eight kills. Eckerle got some help from Halle Recker and her 16 assists. Recker also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Nora Breitwieser, each putting up two.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Danville, their win bumped their record up to 18-10.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Jasper will take on Gibson Southern at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Danville, they will face off against Crawfordsville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
