Baseball Game Preview: El Reno Indians vs. Bethany Bronchos

The El Reno Indians will face off against the Bethany Bronchos at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. El Reno is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

El Reno lost 15-5 to Weatherford on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly ten runs.

Mason Fulton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Gavin Tinsley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Bethany nor Putnam City West made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bronchos' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bronchos, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Bethany is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for El Reno, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8-2.
