Soccer Game Preview: Lake Region vs. Winthrop + How To Watch

The Lake Region Lakers will head out on the road to face off against the Winthrop Ramblers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Lake Region and Lisbon finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. Lake Region had to tread lightly for part of the contest as Nate Elsaesser and Sam Burnham were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Meanwhile, Winthrop fell victim to Leavitt and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 3-0.

Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1. Lake Region's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-3.
