Softball Game Preview: Huntsville Panthers vs. Hazel Green Trojans

The Huntsville Panthers will take on the Hazel Green Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Huntsville didn't have quite enough to beat Anderson County and fell 7-6.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Hazel Green, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Madison County on Wednesday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Huntsville's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Hazel Green, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Huntsville skirted past Hazel Green 10-9 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Huntsville since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
