Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Russell's Third in Last Four Outings

Russell lost to Greenup County back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Red Devils came out on top against the Musketeers by a score of 6-2.

Kyle Mokas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Russell saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lokelio Ancheta, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Russell is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. As for Greenup County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Russell nor Greenup County have any future games scheduled.
