Soccer Recap: Bastrop Takes a Loss

If Bastrop was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Navarro last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bastrop Bears lost 5-0 to the Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Raptors are ranked 216th).

Bastrop's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bastrop and Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin will both be playing Anderson the next time they take the pitch. Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin will host Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Bastrop will host them at 7:45 p.m. on March 7th.
