The Weiser Wolverines will head out to challenge the Gooding Senators at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Weiser is coming into the game hot, having won their last 14 games.
On Tuesday, Weiser earned an 8-4 win over Fruitland.

Madi Janicek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Weiser got a massive performance out of Natalya Hoobery, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ali Sorensen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Weiser hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Gooding faced Kimberly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Senators fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 10-9. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Kaylee Silver made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Olivia Rogers was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Weiser's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Gooding, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Weiser has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .493. However, it's not like Gooding struggles in that department as they've averaged .447. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Weiser came out on top in a nail-biter against Gooding in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
