Woodland entered their tilt with Handley on Thursday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The one-run effort marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Railey Williams's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Woodland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Phillips, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Phillips has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Woodland's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Handley, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland will face off against Randolph County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Handley, they will take on Montgomery Catholic in a tournament on Friday.
