Everything went their way against the Berchmans Academy Saints as the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays made off with a 52-32 win. Given the Fighting Blue Jays' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Saints are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Edmund and bumps their season record up to 13-10. As for Berchmans Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

St. Edmund and Opelousas Catholic will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Berchmans Academy has already played their next game (against JS Clark Leadership Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
